Fish Sung Sounds is a new live performance music series in East Vancouver. Focused on sharing, experimentation, and discovery we aim to make a space dedicated to intimate listening of the emerging and established sounds of local music and sound artists.

Hosted by What Lab and presented by Mark Sutherland.

Join us for our first ever Fish Sung Sounds December 1st featuring Omianan and Normal Verbs!

Omianan

Omianan is a Vancouver-based band that plays a collaboration of original & creative music, described as: “their sound is a culmination of jazz and dreamy soft rock with melodic guitar, complex bass figures, and expressive percussion, the perfect compliment to Sara Kim’s hypnotic vocals.”

Normal Verbs

Normal Verbs explores the untreated sounds of Jesus Adrian Caballero’s drum-set and Mark Sutherland’s tenor saxophone. This project hopes to demonstrate the natural acoustics of the listening space through the integration of free improvisation and preconceived fragments.
